DIMENSIONS

The Monterey 278 SS, with its 8m homologation length, does not pay registration tax in Spain, and its 2.59m beam and weight make it the largest boat that a light vehicle can legally tow on the road.

DISTRIBUTION

The Monterey 278 SS has two sundecks, an optional chaise longue, an optional marine toilet and a wetbar with an electric fridge. Access to the boat from the bathing platform is easy on the starboard side where it is not necessary to move padding cushions, and its comfortable step facilitates access to the boat’s cockpit. On starboard we immediately find the wet bar with sink and electric refrigerator near the aft seats arranged in “L”. The console is on the starboard side, and the co-pilot’s seat on the port side in front of the marine WC that is hidden behind a discreet door integrated into the design of the console. Towards the bow and under the folding central windscreen we find a windscreen for when making fast cruises. Once at the bow, we find a seating area with a folding table and a central padding cushion to convert this environment into a comfortable bow sundeck.

NAVIGATION

This boat is suitable for carrying with the Basic Navigation Pattern (PNB). As in all Monterey boats, the projection of the tack stands out, which ensures dry navigation. The design of the hull has been carefully studied to offer the greatest comfort in navigation and exceptional grip and response in turns. The 20º angle of the keel measured at the transom ensures an incredibly comfortable ride even at high speeds.
